History

AKRAM FOUNDATION started in 1993 is being engaged in services related with educational and social service on behalf of the skilful children, youths and women of low income families within the District of Colombo from a period of two decades as up to now and our said Foundation is situated at No. 83, Maligakanda Road, Colombo – 10.

The Foundation is registered under Co/D/S/00095 in the Divisional secretariat of Colombo as a Social Service Organization and in consideration of the benevolent services rendered to society we were subject to be commended as the best voluntary organization in the District of Colombo. All these projects are being carried on without any monetary assistance from any of Non-Governmental organizations, Foreign financing Organizations and all the expenses are met solely by this Foundation and our organization consisting of officials working with dedication and integrity towards their duties more than 5000 Life Members within the District and exceeding 20,000 of Membership. We would like to describe the functions of our organization rendered to the people of Colombo District as follows:
